In my collection i have several Maharajas of India vintage Post Cards.
These vintage post cards printed by The Rotary Photo Company London.
Until 1947 there will be several States in the entire India. Even up to 26th Januray, 1950 when India become Republic all of these States existed and from 26th January,1950 all of these States merged into the Republic of India and become part of Republic of India.
Look at the dress styles and many other aspects of each of these Maharaja post card. We observed several things from these post cards. Particularly the photography quality is very excellent.
Each of these States have their own Heritage. They have their own Heritage Monuments,Architecture,Temples etc. many things. There will be plenty of Historical information about in various aspects about each of these States of Pre Independence Period.

ReplyDeleteJust by looking at their (The Maharaja's) clothing style, I can imagine their persona and find out the reason behind India's name (Sone Ki Chidiya - The Golden Sparrow).
