Ranakpur Jain Temple

Ranakpur is a village located in Desuri Tahsil near Sadri town of Pali District of Rajasthan State. This Ranakpur located in between Jodhpur and Udaipur, in a valley on the Western side of the Aravali range mountains.  

Ranakpur is very well known for its magnificient Jain Temple. This Ranakpur Jain temple is dedicated to Adinatha.

This Ranakpur Jain temple construction was completed in the year 1458 AD. Light color marble stones are used for the construction of this magnificent temple. This temple complex is in the area of 60 x 62 meters and has its distinctive domes, sikharas,turrets and cupolas rises majistically from the slope of a hill with over 1444 marble pillars carved in exquisite detail to support the temple. Each of these pillars carved on unique style and design and no two pillars are the same alike. It is also believed that it is impossible to count the pillars. 

This Ranakpur Jain temple as Chaumukha with four faces.

This Ranakpur Jain temple is one of the finest architectural wonder of India. Also it is one of the important Jain Piligrimage centre.

Warli Paintings Greetings Cards

These are several Warli Paintings Greetings Cards in my collection. I got them them from NARAD (National Rural Research and Development Association) which is a Charitable Organisation to help the Tribal Communities of Maharashtra in various aspects.

Warli tribe are a group of Tribal people living Western India. Many of Warli People living in and around in Thane District of Maharashtra State. Their Paintings were very artistic.

Adivasi Lok Nritya special cover

Across the India there will be several Ethinic and Tribal Adivasi groups living in different areas. Each of these Adivasi Tribal group has its own culture and heritage. It has its unique life style. Some of the important Adivasi Tribal groups in India are Saharia, Bhil and Gondi tribes. Adivasi groups are living in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharasthra, Odisha, Tamilnadu, West Bengal and North Eastern Regions of India.

In my collection i have special cover of "Adivasi Lok Nritya" issued on the occassion of "BIPEX-79" in Jamshedpur.  This Adivasi Lok Nritya special cover depicts the  rich art and cultural heritage of Adivasi people and their traditional dresses, dances etc.

This special cover issued on the occasion of MAHAPEX-2012 in Pune. This Lavani Nrutya special cover cancelled with the pictorial postmark of "Tuntuna" which is an instrument used in Lavani Nrutya.

Lavani Nrutya (Lavani Dance) is traditional dance form of Maharashtra State and Tuntuna is an instrument which is used in Lavani Nrutya.

My First Seminar on Indian Heritage and Culture

Today i am conducted my First Seminar on Indian Heritage and Culture at P.R.Government College (Atonomous), Kakinada.

P.R.Government College (Full name Pithapuram Maharaja College as Pithapuram Maharaja donated this place for construction of college in 19th Century) was established in 19th Century and has more than 100 years of history and within the college premises some of the buildings have constructed during the British period of 100 years back. I have completed my B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) in this prestigious P.R.Govt. College, Kakianda in the year 1993.

2 weeks back i attended one seminar on Indian  Heritage conducted by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) in P.R.Govt. College. At that time i met several INTACH members and also P.R.Govt. College Principal. I shown my collections etc. in INTACH seminar to other people and students particularly students were very curious and eagerly want to know something from my collection. At that time P.R.Govt. College Principal informed me as soon you are conducting one Seminar on Indian Heritage and Culture in our College Heritage Club.

Today P.R.Govt. College History Department Head invited me to give Seminar on Indian Heritage and Culture to their History students. Accordingly today morning i went to P.R.Govt. College and gave one Seminar there on Indian Heritage and Culture. 

This is my First Seminar on Indian Heritage and Culture. In the Seminar i am interacting with students on various aspects of Indian Heritage and also giving visual demonstration to them through LCD Projector.
