  2. Dear Srinivas, It is a real pleasure to see the dazzling Goddess Sri Kanaka Durga Devi. My father-in-Law was one of the Chief Veda Parayana Pundits in Kanaka Durga Temple from 1950s till 1990. He has served her every day, no holidays, and walked to the Temple barefooted and with no shirt all his life. His Name was VADLAMANI SUBRAMANYA AVADHANI. For his selfless service the Goddess has awarded his final destination at BADRINATH, which is possible only for 1 in 10 billion. His father has taken Sanyasam and he used to sit at the steps of Sri Kanakadurga Temple and feed with the alms received and his immortal body was just submerged in Krishna River, which is normal for Sanyasis. As a tribute for my father-in-laws services one of my brother-in-laws are doing service in Kanakadurga Temple. My wife born on Vijayadaami days hence names Raja Rajeswari lived there from her kindergarden and I too walked almost all places in Vijayawada. We both used to see the golden old movies in Vijaya Theater and New releases in Alankar Theater, they are no more. The Famous Baba Hotel in which I used take morning breakfast. The Merapakaya Bajji at Satyannarayana Puram Cinema Junction is so famous for its spicy, headhot but tastiest among all snacks. Dear Srinivas, my Best Wishes to you to make me remember those golden days of Vijayawada. Mantha V Sharma, Minur, Near Chennai.
